The project examines how diverse lived experiences shape leadership, representation and participation in democratic societies. Focusing on political institutions and civil society, the project explores how race, gender, migration and ethnicity influence leadership pathways, institutional cultures and civic engagement. By bringing together Australian and European perspectives, it aims to generate evidence-based knowledge that supports more inclusive, fair and responsive forms of leadership.
