Andrew Willcocks is an international law and trade policy specialist. He has worked in a wide range of national, EU, and international business contexts, including for the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canberra.

His expertise focuses on the tensions between international and domestic regulatory frameworks, particularly those relating to cross-border challenges arising from our increasingly globalised, digitalised, and interconnected world.Admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, he originally practised as a litigation solicitor in Sydney before joining the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he served as Senior Adviser on Trade Facilitation to domestic and global businesses engaged in international trade.

His more recent work for the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris covered several global projects, including the ICC Open Markets Index and the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation with the World Economic Forum. In 2019 he became Associate Director of ICC Australia.

He obtained an interdisciplinary PhD (International Law / Political Science) at the Centre for European Studies at the Australian National University, and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
