Abstract

ANU Centre for European Studies Research Fellow Dr John Besemeres was this year’s guest of honour and speaker at the Polish Constitution Day Commemorative Dinner in Melbourne. The Dinner has taken place annually since the inaugural event in 2002, featuring a different guest speaker each year. This article is an edited version of the notes for the address delivered by Dr Besemeres to mark the Anniversary of the 3rd of May 1791 Polish Constitution.
