Social Responsibility of Algorithms 2022 (SRA22)
Tuesday 15 June 2021

Social Responsibility of Algorithms 2022 (SRA22), the first of three Algorithmic Futures Policy Lab events, will be held virtually on 13-17 June 2022 (UTC).

SRA22 is an inherently interdisciplinary workshop, designed to start a conversation aimed at fostering innovative technology and policy development in the context of climate change and socio-economic uncertainty. Participants will be invited to share work and engage with case studies that explore algorithmic fairness, explicability/interpretability, trust, privacy and decision autonomy, with the aim of identifying mutually influential challenges and opportunities for technology and policy development in the EU and Australia.

SRA22 is intended to build upon the work begun in SRA19 and SRA17, which drew participants from a range of disciplines and backgrounds to Paris to explore challenges relating to the socially responsible design of algorithms. SRA22 is jointly organised by the ANU Centre for European Studies, ANU Fenner School of Environment and Society, the ANU School of Cybernetics, LAMSADE and DIMACS, with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Program and registration details will be posted shortly. In the meantime, please email 3ainstitute@anu.edu.au to express your interest in joining our mailing list, or to ask any questions relating to this event.
