Collateral Damage Human rights and the implementation of the Convention on Cluster Munitions
The Medical Association for Prevention of War together with Cluster Munition Coalition Australia invite you to a seminar with international presenters. The event begins at 4:30pm with refreshments and the opportunity to network. Presentations begin at 5:00pm and will run for about 20 minutes each followed by questions and group discussion.

Soraj Ghulam Habib from Afghanistan. Soraj lost both legs to a cluster bomb in 2002, at age 10. Soraj is no longer an object of charity, medical treatment and social protection, but a young man claiming his rights. He is an active global campaigner and educator coordinating psychosocial peer-to-peer support, socio-economic inclusion and physical accessibility for cluster bomb survivors in Afghanistan.
Professor Frank Brennan AO SJ. Father Frank Brennan is a Jesuit priest, professor of law at Australian Catholic University and Adjunct Professor at the Australian National University College of Law. The National Trust has classified him as a Living National Treasure.
John Rodsted, co-founder, Cluster Munition Coalition. John Rodsted is a photojournalist with over 20 years fi eld expertise in cluster bomb and landmine-affected communities. He was co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize. The Cluster Munition Coalition is an international campaign representing more than 350 NGOs in over 90 countries.
Matthew Zagor, Senior Lecturer in Law, Australian National University. Matthew Zagor is a senior lecturer in Human Rights and Refugee Law. He has sat on the national board of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights since 2007 and is also Adjunct at the ANU Centre for European Studies.
