Book launch: A New Rival State? Australia in Tsarist Diplomatic Communications

This book is co-presented by the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics and the ANU Centre for European Studies at the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Professor Frank Bongiorno AM of the ANU School of History will launch the new book A New Rival State? Australia in Tsarist Diplomatic Communications, followed by speeches from Emeritus Professor Richard Rigby and Dr Elena Govor.

This book is a unique collection of dispatches written in 1857–1917 by the Russian consuls in Melbourne.
